River Valley Ag Exchange LLC
We, at RVAE, believe in creating added value for your farm. We do that through unique grain programs and optimizing your crop input budget.
We are farmers ourselves! We feel it only makes sense to work with our growers from a position of personal experience. RVAE specializes in biologicals and liquid fertilizers. We realize biologicals can be overwhelming and confusing to understand. We have been performing trials and using these products for over 10 years now. We use a seed corn approach as we like to place them as you would the right corn hybrid on the right piece of dirt. We are very intentional in how we place these products, using the products we sell at RVAE on our farm. If the products don’t work, we throw them out. The products that work, we put them out again next year to try them again. We. Continue. To. Trial. These. Products. To. Make. Sure. They. Will. Work. On. Your. Farm! We realize that margins are narrowing and operating expenses are going up. We know what it’s like to write these checks. We don’t like it either!
We use a boots-on-the-farm method with our clients. We walk and dig in your fields during the growing season. We prefer a rifle, rather than a “shotgun” approach. Tools such as soil tests, tissue tests, and sap tests help us to fine-tune your growing season strategy and make better use of your crop input budget. We believe in being intentional with your inputs, instead of just applying a general “nutrient removal” or “maintenance” fertility program that has been recommended to you for years. We believe biological and regenerative farming practices do work and work well when properly implemented on your farm. Bottom line, our goal is to help you put your farm in a position that it is sustainable and can be passed on from generation to generation for your family.
We provide grower programs for conventional, specialty, and organic growers. Through strategic partnerships, we offer both food and feed grade programs in corn, soybean, milo, and other grains. We have competitive seed bean programs in both the non-GMO and organic markets. We purchase small grains and cover crop type seed from regional growers like you to clean, condition, and then resell in the wholesale and retail markets.
